Eligibility Criteria
*EEA nationals will need to have obtained either pre settlement or settled status and provide evidence of this.
This unit will introduce you to different types of mental ill health.
You will understand factors which may contribute to mental ill health and actions that can be taken.
The aim of this unit is to understand how to support individuals with mental ill health.
You will understand their responsibilities and how to protect your own mental health.
In the final unit you will learn about relevant legislation.
You will explore mentally healthy environments and wellness action plans.

There are a number of risk factors that can increase the risk of an individual experiencing mental ill health.
Factors may be temporary, causing short-term mental ill health or distress, or long-term, leading to more serious mental disorders.
The risk factors may arise from inside the learning or work environment or from outside this environment in the individual’s home and social life.
